Paul Hazell, CGA

Paul has spent most of his life in Vancouver.   He has also lived in Calgary, Toronto and Arvida. He is married to Carole and they have two daughters and five grandsons.
 
Paul is a graduate of UBC Commerce 1960, and has always had an interest in the importance of education. He is a member of the Certified General Accountants of BC, and is a Member of the Trust Companies Institute.   He has spent many years as a member of the Education Committee to the CGA, and is a Past President of the Alumni Association of UBC, as well as a graduate of KPMG.
 
Paul has had a varied career, including Systems Development with Alcan, 6 years in the Securities Industry and 18 years with Yorkshire Trust Company. Together with Nicholas Dennys he started Paragon Financial in 1988.  As a result of their efforts,  Paragon has become  one of the most unique companies of its kind in BC.  Paul believes our role at Paragon Financial is to provide professional guidance in both good as well as difficult times. Educating our clients is an integral part of building a relationship with the customer and a principle shared by all the partners of the firm.  Paul has his mutual fund license with Investia Financial.
 
In his spare time Paul has turned to the arts community, both as an artist and writer.  He has taken courses at Emily Carr Institute of  Art and Design which has helped him become accomplished in Pen and Ink sketchings as well as Acrylics.
