Alex Preswick, CFP, CIM

Alex was born in California and moved to Toronto when he was 17 years old.  He then moved to Vancouver in 1999, when he was promoted by Synergy Mutual Funds as Regional Sales Manager for BC and Alberta.

Alex received his B.A. Double Major with Honours (Psychology and Communications) from York University in 1997.  He then joined TD Bank and worked in their commercial lending department.  In 1998 he moved to a new mutual fund company, Synergy Mutual Funds, and helped grow their assets to $2 Billion.  In 2003 Synergy was bought by CI Financial, and in the next 4 years Alex became one of CI’s top sales reps.  

Alex joined Paragon Financial as a partner in 2007, and became our first securities licensed partner in 2008.  He holds the Certified Financial Planner designation, and is licensed to sell a wide range of products, from GICs to Insurance to individual stocks and mutual funds.

Alex enjoys spending most of his free time outdoors, either playing beach volleyball, camping on the Sunshine Coast, or hiking in the mountains.
